We embarked on our journey with a simple yet profound desire: to curate goods by designers, both local and international, and share them with our community. As individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds - architecture, art, landscape architecture, and plant science - each facet contributed to the foundation of what LUCA represents today.

LUCA / The Shop marked our humble beginnings. In those early days, we delved into the realms of retail and service, learning and evolving with each step. Within just six months, LUCA emerged, a testament to our commitment to making the ordinary extraordinary. Our mission was clear: to infuse simplicity with beauty and elevate the everyday with finesse and attention to detail.

A decade later, we've come to understand the intricacies required to transform a mere shop into a vibrant, immersive experience. LUCA flourished, fueled by serendipitous encounters and the unwavering support of our cherished clients. Collaborations with inspiring individuals led to the inception of Field Studies, a fragrance series inspired by the island's natural splendor, earning accolades such as recognition as one of the top ten Winter Scents of 2022.

Organically, our journey expanded into design/build projects with the establishment of Elephant Properties, guided by Roberto Sanchez's vision of minimalist living spaces. This fusion of curation and creation culminated in projects that seamlessly blend form and function.

Venturing into hospitality, Rural Magnolia emerged as a rustic retreat nestled in the scenic landscapes of Barranquitas, envisioned as a haven for weekend getaways and intimate gatherings.

To further our creative pursuits without constraints, LUCA evolved into UNIVERSO LUCA. Here, we continue to weave new ideas and objects into the fabric of our daily lives. In 2024, LUCA continues on this new chapter, exploring the expansive landscape of design and fostering a space for ideation and collaboration.
